An oyster bar and a Louisiana-inspired deli will be among the vendors at the Auction House Market (801 Magazine St.) when the food hall opens next year.
Elysian Seafood and SOLA Deli have both signed on to the Magazine Street food hub, which the folks behind St. Roch Market will open in early 2018. The addition brings the numbers of vendors to four, meaning there are still six spots left to be filled at the 8,500 square-foot space. Last month, the market's organizers announced that coffee bar Coast Roast Coffee and HAPPYJAXX, a healthy salad and toast concept, had signed on to the project.
Elysian Seafood, from proprietors Brandon and Jennifer Blackwell, has a seafood counter at St. Roch Market, and at the new location the duo will expand on the oyster bar theme and serve a selection of Gulf oysters, available raw or char-broiled, as well as marinated crab claws, crab cakes, shrimp cocktail and more.
Shreveport native Camdon Richardson's SOLA Deli will be an “internationally-inspired and Louisiana-themed deli-concept,” according to a release from the market.
Richardson’s menu has sandwiches featuring cured and cooked meats with house-made aioli, pickles and jellies. Sandwiches might include a po-boy filled with Cajun-inspired roasted turkey, green onion cream cheese and apple slaw on French bread. A pork tenderloin sandwich will have manchego, chimichurri and pickled red onions on ciabatta. SOLA Deli also will offer salads, prepared meals to-go and bottled spices and olive oils.
