Empanola, headed by Patricio Garcia and Jimena Urrutia, will move from St. Roch Market to Auction House Market. The empanada concept was inspired by the couple’s South American roots, with influence from New Orleans and French cuisine. Each flaky pastry is made by hand, and each flavor has its its own, unique shape.

Their Auction House Market menu will include traditional fillings like ham and cheese, as well as inventive fillings of beef bourguignon and ratatouille. Diners can also enjoy their most popular offering of the New Orleans trio, featuring some of the city’s classic flavors reimagined in empanada form – crawfish étouffée, shrimp & cheese, and gumbo. Side dish offerings like salad and gazpacho will round out the meal.
